Trains

Sunday, 08.29.10
 Photography

Several weeks ago when we in Jim Thorpe, I took a few photos of the trains. There was a train you could take rides on, but there were also a number of old cabooses in varying states of disrepair.

Like you, I too was curious what "2 INCH COMP. SHOE" meant and I did some research. It apparently means that car has 2-inch thick, composition (as opposed to cast-iron) brake shoes. Very interesting!

Last week I posted about planes, and now trains. I guess I'll have to go find some automobiles...

Becca and I wanted to hang an 8 x 10 photo in our freshly painted half-bath. Here are a few candidates, which is your favorite?

UPDATE: Thanks for all the input, we decided to go with the photo of the faucet. Here it is on the wall:

Chuck Gibson: I Will Follow

Tuesday, 05.11.10
 News, Photography

A few months ago, my friend Chuck asked if I'd be willing to take some photos for an album he was recording. Dave Warfel and I met him at an old warehouse and took some shots that worked out well for the album. We also put together a website and Dave designed the album artwork and CD. It was a very fun project, but the best part is the music. Chuck did an amazing job on the this album and I've really been enjoying it! You can listen to samples on his website and I would highly recommend picking up a copy (iTunes, Amazon).

Tuesday, 02.09.10
 News, Photography

Our friends Matt & Becca had their second boy a few months ago. We've taken photos of Noah several times (3 months, 6 months and 1 year) and wanted to make sure Reid didn't feel left out.

Noah looking skeptical :)

Reid looks a little mischievous in the lower right photo.

The whole family...

Contrary to what most people say, the most dangerous animal in the world is not the lion or the tiger or even the elephant. It's a shark riding on an elephant's back, just trampling and eating everything they see.
